EXPERIMENTING- Hair and Candle

HAIR
By using the technique of punching real hair, synthetic hair and felt into silicone I am creating a wig for my puppet. This technique is used in many stop motion films such as Isle of Dogs (2018). The silicone holds the hair tightly and does not require any further glueing. I have developed a way of curling my mini hair by heating up some wire pliers and wrapping the hair around the pliers just like you would with a curler. This technique was quite successful. To then hold these curls in place I would run silicone or glue through the hair to stiffen it.
CANDLE
To create a miniature candle flame I have combined a mini LED light, batteries, wire, a yellow balloon and a sculpted piece of candle wax together. Surprisingly this was very effective and quite bright.

sounds like you need an electronics consultant? - Im not one unfortunately..just know enough to be dangerous-but hey its only battery power-- i know some lingo and maybe able to put some of into practice or find some ready made device to adapt hack--variable voltage divider or even just a potentiometer OR even simpler just to switch between different voltages have a four ? battery comparment like in your picture- connect the existing negative wire of the actual battery compartment(usually colored black just for convenience& tradition) and then use another wire (red if you want to be traditional ) for the positive wire connected to the positive connection on the led but connected at the potruding button + en…
Hi Mikayla there is a great collection of physical tests already. With your LED light lamp, try taking some frames over, say 10 minutes, just to see how the practical prop looks in animated scene. LED's are very steady, but it might have some minor flicker. Ther emay be a dimming device you can get too.
