Hugh's workshop reflects his character its simple, orderly and extremely functional. Everything Hugh needs is all in his workshop and is in its rightful place. Although Hugh has all of his bookbinding equipment lined up neatly he is not obsessed with order. He doesn't mind a little bit of mess escpecially when he is in his most creative frame of mind (when he is painting or drawing).

Hmmm that’s an interesting thought. I like that idea of ordering tools in a hewey decimal fashion.

certainly conveys the BOok binders neatness and order- my crazy wondering is if you wanted to work in more book metaphors -that his workshop is a bit like being inside a book?? or bookshelf or library--tools almost hewey decimal filed away AND then like you say still room for big contrast of relative mess when he gets immersed in his craft..?

Thanks Rob, yes sliding doors is the idea, however I need to do some research on how to achieve this. The roof is just a concept idea or a nice to have for the moment. But I really like your roof support idea. Thanks Rob sounds perfect!

Hi Mikayla, the scale drawings look really good. The bookshelf walls I'm assuming can pop out to give you camera view and or puppet access for animating. Are you intending to have the roof supported by the set walls or have external posts? If the angled part of the roof truss goes to a support beyond the walls this could mean you can slide walls in an out without having to remove the roof. (just a thought). I love your prop list- (I might have a nice old period glass teacup that you can use- I'll go on a hunt!) Great work!
